UPDATE RE: OFFER TO ACQUIRE LEKOIL LIMITED SHARES AND POTENTIAL SHARE EXCHANGE
(The Offers”)
LAGOS, Nigeria. 10 February 2022
Lekoil Nigeria’s written requests to Lekoil Limited that it instructs Computershare, Lekoil Limited’s registrars, to co-operate with Lekoil Nigeria in respect of The Offers was met with a denial of consent to cooperate. However, Lekoil Nigeria continues to process incoming acceptances to the Cash Offers.
Lekoil Nigeria currently holds 51,943,334 Ordinary Shares in Lekoil Limited, representing 9.68% of the company.
The Board of Lekoil Nigeria has decided to extend the deadline for acceptances by seven weeks, to Thursday 7 April 2022, to allow sufficient time to close all transactions in light of the alternate process embarked upon. The process update for the Share Exchange Offer will be released shortly.
In the interim, if any shareholder wishes to notify Lekoil Nigeria directly of their intention to accept the Offers, they are invited to do so via email to offers@lekoil.com.
