Lekoil Nigeria was a proud sponsor of Africa Oil Week 2023 which took place from the 9th-13th of October in Cape Town. Our GM Human Resources, Kike Fajemirokun, joined by other industry leaders discussed the topic “The Energy Industry Value Proposition- Amplification of the “S” in ESG” which centred on the growing importance of social aspects within the Environmental, Social, and Governance framework. Kike, emphasized how crucial it is for the Oil and Gas industry to evolve and prioritize diversity and inclusion, recognizing the broader social impact of its operations. She also acknowledged the significance of gender diversity and promoting female leadership which fosters innovation, creativity, and a broader range of perspectives within the traditionally male-dominated industry

Additionally, the presentation by Sam Olotu, our Chief Operating Officer on OPL 325 on the Dahomey Basin demonstrates the company’s focus on exploring promising opportunities in the emerging hydrocarbon province. Engaging in discussions about such opportunities and sharing knowledge about potential developments is essential for driving innovation and sustainable practices within the industry.

Lekoil Nigeria’s active participation in these discussions and presentations showcases the company’s dedication to staying at the forefront of industry developments and promoting responsible practices within the Oil and Gas sector.
